Keep the carbon fiber track on the PCB and the carbon pad on the film clean.
If cleaning doesn’t work, measure the continuity between the diode footprint and the IO expander test pad; earlier versions of the vias may have abrupt breaks. You can find the pinout and circuit diagram here.
