Check if the wireless antenna is unplugged or damaged.
If the WiFi chip is faulty, the Wii will show a black screen, so replacing the WiFi motherboard is usually not the solution.
RVLoader contains a WiFi patch. If it was previously installed, you can remove it by reinstalling the default iOS 36, iOS 58, and iOS 80 patches from the NUS downloader.
