Shutdown within 3 seconds: 12V power rail short circuit.

Shutdown within 3 seconds on 12V or 5V power line but no short circuit:

Possibly a faulty SSD.
Remove the SSD and observe if the system shuts down immediately. If the system continues to boot after removing the SSD, the SSD is likely the root cause. You need to clone the boot partition and write it to a donated SSD. See the SSD guide for more details.

Shutdown within 10 seconds: APU power rail short circuit.

If a short circuit is found on the rail capacitor, it’s likely the chip surrounding the rail, not the capacitor itself. Try removing the surrounding chips one by one to test if the short circuit persists until you find the faulty chip.

If you recently replaced the HDMI port, carefully check your workpiece to ensure no pins are bridged.

Alternatively: Check the motherboard U82 area for a short circuit (the board with the HDMI port). It’s on the back of the motherboard, behind the HDMI port. The device may power on and off when you change the HDMI port.

This chip uses an SOT-23-5 package. Based on a Series X host circuit diagram found online, the STMPS2151STR appears to be the original replacement for this chip.
