For example, in applications like VrChat or ChilloutVR, either facial lag occurs, or face tracking is completely absent. This is usually because Vive has copied VrChat’s OSC code and forced Vive’s port forwarding to a port used by another application.
VRCFT’s inbound ping shows over 1000 (typically when using an OSC router).
Avatar’s facial expressions tremble/quiver between different expressions.
No facial expressions at all.
The simplest solution is to manually edit Vive’s OSC port and update to the latest software via the Vive Console. Uninstall all older Vive face tracking software (such as SRanipal) and ensure that Vive’s streaming software is installed to support PCVR connections.

Open the application to allow SteamVR to open (even if the headset is not powered on).
When installing the VRCFT module, install the SRanipal module, and then enable calibration and continuous calibration in the settings.
Close SteamVR and other pop-up applications. This will allow data to be populated where it wasn’t previously available.

Some people have used “PL”: 2 with good results.
Restart your computer, connect your Vive and launch SteamVR. Open VCRFT, then open the social application you are using.
Some expressions may not be visible at first, but continue using it; continuous calibration should fix and smooth out any issues.
(Calibration can be done with a few facial expressions or after a few minutes of use, depending on whether you have used a face tracker before.)
Diagnostic Steps: Diagnosis is self-explanatory. As long as you are not routing other OSC applications, most diagnostics will involve visually observing strange pings, no facial expressions displayed, or stuttering between facial expressions.
