The Nintendo Wii remote won’t turn on

The gamepad won’t power on.
The remote control has no power.
Check known safe devices, such as the batteries in a wireless mouse.

Check the battery contacts.

If the device has no power:

Turn on the remote control.

Check the continuity as follows:
