This situation occurs when the host is unable to detect the hard drive.
Console starts and displays error CE-34335-8
On the PS4 Slim, this error may be caused by a hard drive failure or a faulty MOSFET behind the SATA interface. (I have encountered this situation multiple times on the PS4 Slim).
Diagnostic Steps
Try a new 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD. If the same error persists, it may be due to a lack of voltage at the SATA connector.
There is an 8-pin Mosfet (TPS2001D) located behind the SATA connector.
If this MOSFET is functional, it should output 5V.
In order to maintain a 5V voltage at the input terminal of the MOSFET, the enable terminal voltage must exceed 2V.
Polo is a somewhat blurry image that requires measurement.
These voltages only appear when the host is turned on
Repair steps
This component is widely used on websites such as Mouser and Aliexpress.
Replacing the TPS2001D is actually quite simple.
Use your hot air station to desolder the old MOSFET, taking care not to melt the SATA connector.
Clean off the old solder and re-solder.
Solder a new MOSFET.
After installing the new MOSFET, ensure that there is 5V voltage at the output terminal.
Install the hard drive and power on the computer to check overall functionality.
